Quickflix Releases New Oscar Catalogue

Quickflix has has published a new online DVD catalogue allowing site users to find and rent nearly every Academy Award winning film that has won a best film, best director, best actor, best actress, best supporting actor or best supporting actress Oscar.

We think such additional ways of packaging conent are useful for customers. According to Quickflix, evn people who don't rent from such DVD lists often browse them out of curiousity, and may stumble on a great flick they might otherwise have never been exposed to.

There have been 81 best picture, best director and best actress Oscar winners and 80 best actor Oscar winners since 1927. Of those, Quickflix, with it's 35,000 title inventory stocks 73 best picture DVD titles, 70 best director titles, 60 best actor titles and 59 best actress titles.

January 2009 DVD Rental Guide Update

Nothing new to report as yet in the new year, but we'll continue to watch the Australian DVD rental market closely. Feedback on our largest ranking shift in many months, Bigpond to the number two slot, has so far been good.
